Santos Soka Academy is a Kenyan football academy based in the Dagoretti area of Nairobi. Founded in 2010 — the year stitched into our crest — we are a standalone academy built by coaches and families from the neighbourhood.
We train boys and girls from age 4 up to 20, with a full pathway from Under-6 all the way through to our Senior team. The academy focuses on nurturing talent, discipline and teamwork, giving every player a real chance to develop their skills and pursue their aspirations in the game.
Under the guidance of our technical staff, the academy has seen success in local tournaments and continues to play a pivotal role in our community.
The academy opens in Dagoretti — the year stitched into the crest — to bring more young players from the neighbourhood into the game.
Members of the technical staff complete the FKF / CAF / FIFA Introductory Coaching Course, strengthening the sessions every age group receives.
Dedicated squads from Under-6 through Under-18 feed into our Senior team, with boys and girls training side by side.
The academy is led by Head Coach Humphry, who sets the direction for every age group — from the first touch at Under-6 all the way to senior football. Our coaching staff live and work in the Dagoretti community and hold FKF / CAF / FIFA-recognised coaching qualifications.
We invest in our coaches because we know sessions are only as good as the person running them. Members of the technical team recently completed the FKF Introductory Level Coaching Course, with more certifications in progress.
The academy pathway is already producing professional footballers. Khan Jal Kume, a winger developed through Santos Soka, now plays top-flight football in the South Sudan Premier League for El Merreikh SC Bentiu — proof that the work being done on the dusty pitches of Dagoretti can carry a player into the professional game.
Stories like Khan's are what every Under-6 turning up for their first session is ultimately training towards.
Respect for the game, for teammates and for the ref — every training, every match.
We win and lose together. Leadership and humility go hand-in-hand.
Individual skill is built within a team framework, not in isolation.
Dagoretti is home. Every child from the neighbourhood deserves a shot.
